About Me
I first qualified as a primary school teacher in 2003. In this role I encountered children with specific learning difficulties and I wanted to understand how I could support them more effectively. In 2010 I completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Dyslexia and Literacy and I have since worked as a specialist teacher with Dyslexia Action and in school and university settings. I have a wide range of experience teaching and assessing learners from primary school age to adults in employment. ​
I hold the following relevant qualifications:

Postgraduate Diploma in Dyslexia and Literacy (Level 7)

Current Assessment Practising Certificate awarded by The British Dyslexia Association. I am also on the SASC list of assessors.

BSc (Hons) Psychology
In addition to this:

I am an Associate Member of the British Dyslexia Association (AMBDA) and a member of The Professional Association of Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties (PATOSS).

I am Data Protection registered with the Information Commissioner's Office

I regularly undertake training to ensure that practice is current and reflects changes in the assessment of specific learning difficulties.
